Welcome to "Whispers From Walmington", the Dad's Army web site.

Dad's Army tells the story of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard during the Second World War.  The platoon includes a bank manager, a chief bank clerk, a bank clerk, a butcher, a spiv, an undertaker and an ex-tailor. Initially armed only with arm-bands, they are ready to repel a possible invasion by thousands of German Wermacht troops at a moment's notice!

WHISPERS FROM WALMINGTON IS BACK !!

Following an absence of ten months whilst the platoon members went on extended manoeuvres, I am now happy to report that the Whispers From Walmington web site is back.  It seems that there were a lot of people who missed the site and asked for it's return and I would like to thank them for their continuing support.  There is still lots to do so please bear with me as the task of getting all of the content back online is carried out.
